Our Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a one-day course designed for workplace first aiders.
This course is delivered in line with current Resuscitation Council UK guidance, including early recognition of cardiac arrest, calling 999 without delay, following call-handler instructions, delivering effective CPR, and using an AED confidently.

Learners are trained to recognise cardiac arrest quickly and act without delay.
If a casualty is unresponsive and not breathing normally, learners are taught to call 999 immediately, start chest compressions at a rate of 100–120 per minute, and use an AED as soon as one is available.
Training includes both CPR with rescue breaths (30:2) and guidance on compression-only CPR where appropriate.
Entry requirements: We recommend learners are a minimum of 14 years of age. However, it is also recommended that centres/employers undertake an initial assessment to ensure that learners, whatever their age, are physically capable of completing the practical assessment (please see reasonable adjustments and special considerations section for learners if required).
It is also advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English to enable them to complete the assessment.
